The first way and apparently quite famous among travelers is taking a bus or luxury coaches. Naturally standard buses are cheaper. There are a few bus operators that manage the buses and you just need to buy the tickets at the bus counters based on your arriving destinations.

Personally, I would recommend luxury coaches as you could also enjoy the view throughout your journey and you could still have a good level of comfort along the way. Driving may seem fun too but you have to understand several requirements needed to drive in Singapore and you might find yourself unable to enter Singapore because of that.
